Ladies and gentlemen it is of the utmost importance for us
to understand the history and roots of mirrors used for scrying and how scrying
works today. For thousands of years humankind has gazed at reflections in
water, mirrors and the night sky. Most of us have stared at the reflections of
the moon on a pond surface or the odd reflections of the moon on the surface of
a rippling creek or river. Our gaze seems to open our minds and sight into
another realm. We see odd shapes, colors and even odd sounds, this seems to
have a profound effect on our inner selves and our spirits. We see and feel
things that we don’t experience in our daily lives, this is a form of scrying
which allows us to have profound thoughts and sights so mystifying that we have
never before experienced.
There is evidence that objects have been used as far back as
6000 BC to see the future, the past and commune with spirits and entities. The
most prized object was a mirror made from obsidian, it was and is today
considered to be so powerful because it is made from the violent action of the
fire and electricity of a volcano. Its deep dark reflective surface seems to
reflect the gazer’s very soul with a profound effect never to be
forgotten. It has a wonderful cleansing effect which in my humble opinion
we all need from time to time. The black mirror to this day is used as a
mystical tool and has been used since very ancient times and is sometimes
called the wizard stone. The black obsidian sphere is considered the premiere
stone to open our minds to the past, the future and the spirit realm. It
is also a powerful protective stone that repels negative energy , spirits and
entities. It grounds us to the physical plane which allows us to manifest
spirits and entities to the physical plane in our presence.
