HH HOLMES DESK CABINET
Upon arriving at the hotel, victims filled a visitor’s card out. Holmes keeps those logs in this filing Cabinet.
- There is a coil in the lid for pk items “Includes bell”.
- This item comes with the accomplished “Death at the Castle” book test but on file cards.
- There is a switching plate in the main drawer for switching a picture or note, “Photos included”.
The observer chooses a picture. Places it unseen in the “top” drawer. Performer contacts a spirit, “bell sounds”, as questions are asked the soul replies, the witness logs those replies. The spectator removes the picture, opens the drawer to that choice “file card”. Upon comparing information finds an identical match!

Most importantly of all, it really LOOKS authentic – but then, of course, it really did come from Holmes ‘s Murder Castle(!?!). It’s the sort of prop which adds the right amount of “atmosphere” to a performance; a mixture of intrigue, puzzlement, authenticity whist being ‘unsettling’. It’s very well constructed and aged. Importantly, it doesn’t betray the devilment that hides inside. As with all such props, it is what you the performer makes of it and with it that matters. Let HHH ring it for you – if you dare.
